Musicians

Classical to country, contemporary to traditional, and just about anything in between, you can choose which accomplished musician will be best for your special occasion. We have violinists, vocalists, guitarists, brass quartets, string quartets, trios, duos, pianists, saxophonists, harpists, and even a bagpiper available for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or any other special event.  


Lauren Tolcher

Vocalist Lauren TolcherSinging has given Lauren Tolcher the opportunity to travel around the world, studying voice in Siena, Italy and singing on cruise ships with the Glenn Draper singers. She graduated from Presbyterian College with a bachelor's degree in vocal performance. Lauren has performed as a Lake Junaluska singer and in local theater with roles including "Maria" in West Side Story and "Johanna" in Sweeney Todd. Lauren currently plays the guitar and sings lead vocal in The Blue Iguanas Band of Columbia, SC. She loves the opportunity to sing in weddings, church services, and other special events and offers a wide variety of vocal styles.


Cameron Glover

Vocalist In the entertainment industry for nearly twenty years now, Cameron started performing on a stage in the middle school choir. Then, he moved on to his high school competition choir, training under Director Craig Deunsing. After graduating, he joined the military and was a member of the US Navy Choir. When he returned from his enlistment, Cameron moved to Myrtle Beach, SC to perform in the Dollywood production "Dixie Stampede." He then moved to Charlotte, NC to take his singing and dancing talents to Paramount's Carowinds to become the featured performer in their country western show. Now, Cameron Glover performs at weddings, parties, and other special events singing mainly contemporary christian and country music.


Janie Metts

Vocalist Janie MettsJanie Metts is a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina. The Columbia native was born with a passion to sing and write songs and has has been blessed with the opportunity to continue pursuing her dreams as a young adult.

She recalls singing in the back of the car with her mama to Tanya Tucker's hit "Delta Dawn" as a little girl. Friends and relatives still laugh about her childhood days: she used to dress up for the stage, get up on an old tree stump and sing for everyone!

Janie Metts has just released her first single "Boo Hoo Hoo" now available on iTunes and is excited to be working on more music in her near future!


Jon Rooks

Vocalist, Guitarist & Pianist Jon RooksJon Rooks is a musician/singer/bandleader playing as a solo one man band and a trio. He and his band play a mix of r&b, classic rock, jazz, and pop music. Being a vocalist and playing multiple instruments such as piano, drums, guitar, harmonica, and more he is a seasoned musician and performer being recognized as Freetimes' Best Solo Artist in 2011 as well as a featured artist for TED. He travels throughout the Southeast and nationally playing shows and private events.


Melodie

Vocalist MelodieFor over 20 years, Melodie has lived up to her name, providing music to enrich people’s special occasions. Having studied classical piano with a Juliard graduate for 11 years, then going on to graduate college with a Music Education degree, Melodie lives and breathes music. From Classical to Country, or Christian to Pop, Melodie is versatile in each spectrum of music (both vocally and on the piano). She would be delighted to help make your day memorable.


Brent Lundy

Guitarist & Vocalist Brent LundyBrent Lundy has over 20 years of professional performance experience. Historically, Brent Lundy from Aiken, South Carolina, is best known as the lead singer of the southeastern indie rock band, "Lundy", but began to gain public notice through several years fronting The Ultraviolets (1997-2005), touring extensively in the Southeast and with Hootie and the Blowfish and Mercury recording artists, Cravin’ Melon. In creating Lundy’s much-anticipated solo debut album, Brent has worked with such greats as Kenny Aronoff, Phil Xenidis, Roger Manning, Chris Chaney and the legendary Steve Churchyard. The new album is expected to be released sometime in 2012.

Scott Donaldson

Guitarist & Vocalist Scott DonaldsonScott Donaldson is a new comer to the song writing industry. He began writing only three years ago after crossing paths with, now close friend April Amick, with Queen Of Hearts, Nashville, TN. “She and I met as a blind date and hit it off as musical buddies more than anything. We co-wrote several songs for her to sing one of which is titled, ‘Turn It Around’ and is on Queen of Hearts latest CD, Pink Boots.

Originally from North Florida and a musical family of 3 sisters and 1 brother, “There was always a guitar laying around on the couch and my sister Julie showed me three cords one day and I took it from there. I never thought I would be writing a bio for my own CD. Thank You God.”

All material for the songs came from personal experiences and were written by Scott himself. They are a great blend modern country, a little bluegrass and a song he wrote to sing for his church ‘Don’t Pass me By’.

“Scott is a gifted song writer, he gives you a true look into his heart as a father who has a daddy’s girl in his life in the song, Lucky To Be Your Dad”, says fan Jamie Spires.

Thus far Scott has not opened for anybody famous but performs solo, as a duo, and with the band, Coconut Cowboy on a regular basis in the midlands of South Carolina.

Hanning Group Quartet

Strings Hanning Group QuartetThe musicians with the Haning String Quartet are truly the highest quality you are going to find in South Carolina. We are talking about concertmasters, soloists, and principal chairs. While the majority of the players are based in the Midlands, they are often asked to play all over the state.

There are a few things that set apart professional wedding musicians. One of them is experience. When a player has performed in hundreds of weddings, then you know that your ceremony will be in very capable hands. So much planning has gone into your wedding ceremony and you deserve the very best. The other is the quality of the instruments and the Haning String Quartet has the best of the best!


The Jackson Sisters

Strings The Jackson SistersThe Jackson Sisters are four sisters, YES, they are sisters that make up a string quartet in the Columbia, South Carolina area. They are accomplished musicians, having studied music on the college level at the University of South Carolina. Each year they perform at weddings, parties, fundraisers, dinners, receptions, and church events. The sisters have been playing together since 1995, and always look forward to playing at new events and venues.


Virginia Forbrizzio

Violinist Virginia ForbrizzioVirginia Forbrizzio has studied the violin for eighteen years. She attained her Bachelors of Music Education from Bowling Green State University where she studied violin with Dr. Penny Thompson Kruse. Virginia is currently completing a Masters of Music Education from the University of South Carolina. Forbrizzio has extensive performance experience as a soloist, in a string quartet, trio, duo, and in an orchestral setting. Currently, she teaches strings in South Carolina where her students have won many awards, including superior ratings at SCMEA Concert Festival and superior ratings and first place at Fiesta-val competitions. As a professional violinist, she has played for countless weddings and special events as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles, string quartets and string trios.

Michelle Zint

Violinist Michelle ZintMichelle Zint will soon be entering her senior year at Furman University as a violin performance major. She has studied the violin for thirteen years, is currently under the tutelage of Dr. Thomas Joiner and Mr. Bill Preucil, and is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, the National Music Honor Society. Michelle plays in the Lexington Baptist Church Orchestra, the Furman Symphony Orchestra, and as a substitute player in the professional Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra. She also has abundant experience as a chamber musician and soloist both as a part of her education and as an active freelance violinist. Michelle has performed in the latter capacity for the last eight years, at weddings, receptions, open houses and numerous other venues. She has also had the opportunity to perform and study music internationally, in both Anghiari and Arezzo, Italy.


Nina Fore Brooks

Harpist Nina Fore Brooks Nina Fore Brooks is a freelance performer and educator. She studied music at the University of South Carolina and Columbia College where she earned her Masters Degree in Music. A certified music instructor, she teaches school age children, college students and adults. Nina is a member of the American Harp Society, American PEN Women, American String Teachers.

Nina has performed around the world, notably with the Cunard, Radisson and Celebrity Cruise Lines. She has been playing the harp for over 25 years and is considered an expert at her art. She is available for Weddings, Receptions, Rehearsal Dinners, Gallery Openings, Bar/BatMitzvah Celebrations or any Special Occasion. Requests for accompaniment are also available.


Rose Senn

Harpist Rose SennRose Senn began playing the harp fifteen years ago at age seven. She was raised in a musical family and grew up playing harp, piano, and singing all the time! Rose has always loved performing and sharing her music with others. At age twelve, she began playing harp solos for weddings and other special events. The majority of her repertoire is classical, but also includes twentieth century and religious pieces. Senn is a member of the American Harp Society and has played with the Charlotte Suzuki Ensemble, SC Junior Philharmonic and Lexington High School Orchestra. If you are looking for a way to add elegance and serenity to your special event, Rose Senn on harp is the way to do just that!

Superior Edwards

Pianist Superior EdwardsSuperior Edwards started playing piano when he was eight years old. He was brought up in a lineage of great musicians from his father and mothers side and was named Superior by his father as a self fulfilling prophecy. He started playing in church and by age 12 he was the minister of music for the youth department of Pilgrim Baptist Church. By the age of 16 he was touring around the world with well known artists like Father MC, Jodeci, Brandy, and Mary J. Bilge. Superior has gone on to share the stage with such greats as The Drifters, Nelly, Mariah Carey, Donnie McClurkin, Al Jerreau, Will Downing, Rev. Timothy Wright, the Winans family, Superior also plays Keys for Terence Young, Dante Lewis, Byron Counts and many other well known names in both R&B, gospel, and jazz. Superior now owns and is executive producer of S.I.N.G. Productions label and studio. His solo album "Trippin" had debut February 2011. His Christmas Cd will be release in November 1,2012 & His latest smooth Jazz CD "If A PIANO CAN TALK" was released in February 2013


Todd Bevill

Pianist Todd BevillNewberry College graduate with over 35 years of piano experience, Todd Bevill has played for many different types of occassions. He has performed in weddings, concerts, and church services all over South Carolina. In addition to his activities as a soloist, Bevill has accompanied singers, violinists, guitarists and various other types of musicians.

Max Hardy

Guitarist Max HardyMax Hardy is an accomplished guitarist and music educator currently residing in Columbia, SC. He has performed as a solo guitarist and chamber musician for over a decade while maintaining an active teaching studio. In addition to concertizing, Max frequently performs for wedding ceremonies, cocktail parties and upscale restaurants. Max holds a Master degree from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, both in Classical Guitar Performance. He is currently a faculty member at the University of South Carolina Upstate and the Columbia Arts Academy.


Steve Sloan

Guitarist Steve Sloan1st prize-winner in the 2007 James Stroud Classical Guitar Competition and 2nd prize-winner in the 2006 Rosario Guitar Competition, Steve Sloan has been heard in a variety of venues across four states. His first solo recording, "Constellations", was released in 2009. Sloan has given performances at Presbyterian College (SC), Nashville Public Library (TN), Oberlin Conservatory (OH), Weaver Academy (NC), and many others. He has performed in master classes for such luminaries as Raphaella Smits (from Belgium), Pepe Romero, and Benjamin Verdery. In addition to his activities as a soloist Sloan has accompanied singers, flutists, violinists, played in guitar duos, and is currently director of the Columbia Guitar Orchestra. Mr. Sloan has five years experience teaching guitar. Steve received his bachelor's degree from of the University of Akron’s School of Music studying under Stephen Aron, and his Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina where he held a graduate teaching assistantship under Professor Christopher Berg.

Mandy Sloan

Saxophonist Mandy SloanMandy Sloan has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Central Michigan University, where she studied saxophone with Professor John Nichol, and a Master's Degree in Music Performance from the University of South Carolina, where she studied saxophone with Dr. Clifford Leaman as his graduate assistant. Her assistantship duties included teaching private lessons, coaching university quartets, and teaching the beginning saxophone class. In 2006, between her degrees, she studied saxophone for one semester in Paris, France with Professeur Jean-Yves Fourmeau at the Cergy Conservatoire. While in Paris, she was invited to perform as a guest artist with the National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain twice, in London and Birmingham. Mandy has performed in the North American Saxophone Association (NASA) Conferences in Greensboro, NC; and Columbia, SC; and in the World Saxophone Confereces in Minneapolis, MN; and Ljubljana, Slovenia. Altogether, she has performed in France, England, Slovenia, St. Lucia, Canada, and throughout the United States. She owns and performs on the world's smallest saxophone, called the soprillo. It is a fairly recent invention by Benedikt Eppelsheim, and there are less than 100 of them in existence so far. Mandy currently teaches her own studio of private students and saxophone quartets in Columbia, SC, and performs regularly in the area. She or her quartet are available for wedding ceremonies, dinner parties, cocktail hours, and any other event that might best suit your needs.


Dante Lewis

Saxophonist Dante LewisColumbia, South Carolina native, Dante Lewis is a powerful saxophonist and musician. Since the age of 12, he has wowed audiences throughout the Carolinas with his quality sound, engaging personality, and passion for music. Not only is Dante a passionate instrumentalist, but he is also a humble, down to earth guy. He graduated from Eau Claire High School, and studied at USC Spartanburg. In 2003, Dante started the band “Vision,” a party and jazz group. The group performs at weddings, banquets, parties, and other major social events. Dante’s debut album “Set The Mood” was released in July of 2010, and has since been featured on more than 300 internet radio sites and radio stations in the United States and internationally. Not only has Dante’s album gained notoriety, but he’s also been featured in Lux Millionaire Magazine, Columbia Metropolitan Magazine, California’s “Urban Scene Magazine” for “New Artist,” and he’s even performed at the Rowan Arts Festival. Although Dante Lewis does a lot of solo work, he’s preformed on stage with other talented artists, like Ashford and Simpson, Terence Young, Sam Jenkins, Lamar Campbell, gospel group “Women with a Vision,” and David Carmichael. As a man of God, Dante is the former Minister of Music at St. Luke Baptist Church in Winnsboro. Currently, he’s a musician at Bethlehem Baptist Church, and performs at weddings, parties, and other special events. Continuing to sell out shows everywhere he goes, Dante Lewis is truly geared for success and longevity.


Charlie Polk

Wind Musicians Charlie PolkCharlie Polk is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he earned both the Bachelor and Master of Education and Performance degrees. He is the Director of Bands at Lexington Middle School in Lexington, S.C. and has performed at the Spoleto Festival in both the legit and jazz areas. Charlie has performed in hundreds of weddings and church services all over the Southeast. He is a member of the Dick Goodwin Big Band, South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, Darius Rucker Big Band, and has played lead trumpet with many performers including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Johnny Mathis, Rich Little, The Temptations, Andy Williams, Barbara Eden, Cab Calloway, Natalie Cole, Lou Rawls, Nancy Wilson, Olivia Newton John, Sandy Duncan, Louie Bellson, Guy and Ralna, Lee Greenwood, Disney On Ice, and Ringling Brothers.


Christian Markle

Bagpiper Christian MarkleFor more than four years, Christian Markle has been performing professionally at weddings, funerals, parties, and other formal ceremonies. As a piper, he prides himself on musical perfection, not only in professional performance but also in regional competition. He has won numerous bagpipe competitions in and around the Carolinas, as well as being awarded "Piper of the Day" at the 2009 Charleston Highland Games.
